This weekend marks the opening of the Oil Painters of America Eastern Regional Show! I am honored that my painting "Ivan" will be exhibited there at the Addison Gallery in Orleans, MA from September 17 - October 15!

Ivan is a fellow painter that graciously agreed to pose in his native Cossack attire for the life painting group that Scott Burdick and Susan Lyon host in their studio in Winston Salem, NC. As we painted, Ivan regaled us with stories of his colorful past in Russia. He has certainly lived an interesting life! A strong personality, Ivan is a talented artist in his own right.

"Ivan" is available for purchase through the Addison Gallery from September 17 - October 15.

Ivan, 14" W x 18" H, oil on linen, framed, $1200

Hi Suellen,
This reminds me so much of the paintings of Ilya Repin and Valentin Serov. Beautifully done!
